Wedge
Role
in the Wood Processor System
The wedge splits the wood, but it is not as straightforward as you think...
Advice
From the Professionals
Timberwolf Processors are available with 4-, 6-, and 8-way wedges. These wedges allow multiple sticks of firewood to be produced in a single cycle, speeding production. The wedges can be raised and lowered, so they can be centered on the log being split, or raised out of the way for smaller diameter logs.
The
wedges are designed so that the log is engaged in stages; the
wings are staggered so the log is not hitting all wings of the
wedge at once. This allows tough pieces to be split since the
splitter is not trying to push it through.
