The Top
Roll Clamping system holds the log firmly in place during the
cut-off operation, and helps feed the log. It operates at the
same rate as the feed trough chain.
The Top Roll floats as the log is fed to the cut off saw, and will roll over knots in the log. The Top Roll handles crooked logs and firmly grips the last piece, where other clamping systems lose their grip.

The Top
Roll is the fastest clamping system available on the market. The
Top Roll does not need to be raised and lowered with each cycle
of the processor, since it is a continuous feed system. The Top
Roll also does not need to back up and re-grip; even the
sophisticated grapple clamping system offered by one of our
competitors has to back up and re-grip periodically.
